Founded in 1999

Heritage Tree Care was founded in 1999 by Ian Walding (ND Arb, NC Hort), who continues in the role of Managing Director and Consultant Arborist. Ian spent 10 years in the horticultural industry, prior to going on to specialise in Arboriculture. He trained for 3 years at Merrist Wood College, Surrey, graduating with a National Diploma in Arboriculture in 1994. Since then, Ian has worked in professional tree care, as both tree surgeon and consultant; as well as in amenity woodland management.
Heritage has an established staff team, including professional tree surgeons and ground crew, all fully trained and experienced. We uphold professional standards for safety and best practice, and all our work is carried out to the industry standard: British Standard for Tree work BS 3998. We are fully insured.
More than half of our clientele are returning customers or come to us via recommendation. We take great pride in what we do, and in our commitment to enabling trees and people to co-exist sustainably.
